
The return of minor league baseball in one Upstate city has made another significant stride. The Hub City Spartanburgers have released their home schedule for next year's inaugural season.
The team will open the brand new Fifth Third Park in downtown Spartanburg hosting a 6 game series against Bowling Green in April. Then their new local rival the Greenville Drive will come to town in late April. Another regional rival, the Asheville Tourists will come to town in Late July.
Hub City also has home stands with Greensboro, Winston-Salem and Wilmington. The Greenville Drive will make a return trip to the Sparkle City in August. The Spartanburgers close the home schedule hosting Rome, Georgia.
The road portion of the schedule has not yet been released. Construction continues on Fifth Third Park. Spartanburg City Officials say the new ballpark is expected to be completed before April of 2025.
