Anticipating the Braves' road trip before the clash with the Twins

The Atlanta Braves' strong 16-game stretch sets the stage for an exciting 6-game road trip.

After sweeping the Colorado Rockies and enjoying a successful 13-3 stretch over 16 games, the Atlanta Braves have a day off before embarking on a crucial road trip. The upcoming 9-game stretch begins with a divisional matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies, followed by games against the Cincinnati Reds, and finally returning home to face the Minnesota Twins.

Lindsay Crosby, host of Locked On MLB Prospect, predicts that the Braves should be able to win 4 out of 6 games during this stretch. Regarding the series against the Phillies, Crosby points out the advantage of not having to face Zack Wheeler, who has historically performed well against Atlanta with the Phillies, with an impressive record (5-2 with a 2.10 ERA). Crosby believes the Braves should win 2 out of 3 games in the series.

When discussing the Cincinnati Reds, Crosby acknowledges their recent surge and winning record, making them a tougher opponent than initially anticipated. However, he notes that the Reds play in a hitter-friendly ballpark, and the Braves boast a lineup of potent hitters. Crosby expects the Braves to come away with 2 wins out of 3 games in that series as well, before heading back to Truist park.

The Braves' next game will be on Tuesday, June 20th at 6:40pm, airing on TBS. Fans can stay updated on all the latest Atlanta Braves news and updates by tuning in to 92.9 The Game, available on Audacy.com or through the Audacy app.
