South Carolina is sitting at .500 on the season with a 3-3 record. They are still however looking for their first win in SEC play and the first in Coach Shane Beamer's career. In Wednesday's SEC Teleconference, Coach Beamer talked about remaining positive and passionate. While he is looking for improved execution, Beamer seems to be pleased with the effort from his players.
Beamer went onto to talk about the positive outlook around the program, despite the three early season losses.
South Carolina owns a 26-4 advantage in the series. The Gamecocks have not lost to Vanderbilt since the 2008 season. South Carolina also holds a 12-2 record at home vs the Commodores. This Saturday's game is set for a 4 PM kickoff at Williams Brice.
