For the first time ever…the Moment of the Day went into overtime, as the discussion of the MOTD overshadowed the actual moment!
Jerry was giving an update about how there was an ejection in the Mavs-Nuggets game because of an intentional low blow, and played audio from Denver’s head coach about using it as a learning experience…”not to forearm guys in the groin,” as Jerry laughed.
And then, Eddie Scozzare took over, using the crew’s own words against them with a series of audio drops that led Jerry to recall his own “man getting hit in groin by ball” moment – and Gio went into hysterics when Eddie dropped in Boomer talking about some swelling down south.
“It sounds like you were at an outdoor press conference, and got up to the mic and just put that out there,” Gio laughed.
Eddie then had to explain the origin of the “swollen testicles” drop, which gave Gio an idea.
“That’s another great idea: find the context of the drops,” Gio said. “Eddie should do a podcast about all the famous drops, and where they came from.”
“He’s got so many drops, you can do a daily podcast for the next 10 years,” Jerry laughed.
