It was an emotional scene Monday night at a high school football game in the Upstate, after tragedy struck one of the schools involved. As we previously reported, three students were killed in a crash Friday afternoon, near Chesnee High School.
That prompted the school to reschedule their home football game from Friday to Monday night. A sell out crowd was on hand as the homestanding Eagles took on cross county and region rival Landrum.
A moment of silence was held and flowers were laid out to honor those killed in the wreck. The Landrum program and fans also showed their support for the Chesnee community, in a 1st class move.
Chesnee won the game 34-21, but more importantly the community began to heal from their tragic loss.
