Browns Ring of Honor member and 2021 Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist Clay Matthews joined Ken Carman to relive some of his memories in Cleveland and talk about the current version of the team.
Clay talked about his feelings watching the Browns beat the Steelers in their AFC Wildcard matchup, what some of the differences he’s seen since he left the game 25 years ago and how he evolved is role on the field throughout his lengthy career.
Clay also reminisced about his game clinching interception of Buffalo QB Jim Kelly in 1990, why he loved being a Cleveland Brown and how he felt when the team was moved in 1995.
Clay finished by talking about how he was able to play for so many years, how he knew it was time to retire and how he reacted to his daughter’s push for him to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
