Steelers rookie receiver Chase Claypool is predicting the Browns will be out of the playoffs next week a day after Pittsburgh was handed an embarrassing loss.

Talking on social media, Claypool says, “You know bad loss, but ah, Browns are going to get clapped next week, so it’s all good.”

Claypool was defending JuJu Smith-Schuster’s comments last week when he said the Browns are still the Browns.

The rookie said that JuJu didn’t mean any disrespect and that the Browns are a “great team” and that they go and face them with the “same level of respect, either whether they’re 0-16 or 16-0,

National media picked up on the phrase, “nameless gray faces” that Smith-Schuster used, but that is also a common phrase used by head coach Mike Tomlin to indicate they don’t get too worked up or overhyped for an opponent and treat each team with the same intensity.

The Browns take on the Super Bowl defending Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs.

Claypool had 5 catches for 59 yards on Sunday with two touchdowns.
