Clemson Men's Basketball dropped its 1st game of the season over the weekend in Memphis. Clemson opened on an 11-2 run and led 39-32 at the half. Memphis would assert itself in the 2nd half and take the lead late in the game. Memphis took care of the ball and made enough free throws to pull out a 79-77 win over #13 Clemson.
David Jones had a game high 22 points for Memphis and Alabama transfer Jahvon Quinerly added 17 points and 6 assists.
Four Clemson players were in double figures Upstate native PJ Hall had a team high 21, Sophomore Chauncey Wiggins added 19 and Ian Schieffelin another double of 11 points and 11 boards.
Clemson is now 9-1 on the season, they are back in action Friday hosting Queens U. of Charlotte before going on Christmas Break.
