Late game mistakes by Clemson erased their opportunity to knock 4th ranked Florida State, Saturday at Death Valley. The Tigers fell 31-24 in overtime after never trailing in regulation.

Clemson led 3-0 after the 1st and 17-14 at the half. FSU scored a FG on their 1st drive of the 2nd half to tie it at 17. Clemson answered with a TD drive of 5 yards and nearly 5 minutes to lead 24-17. A Clemson fumble was returned by FSU's Kalen Deloach to make the game 24 all after three quarters.

Clemson put together a late game drive of over 5 minutes, but missed on a 29 yard field goal try with 1:45 left in the 4th.

The game would go to OT and FSU would get the ball 1st and scored on a Jordan Travis TD pass to go up 31-24. Clemson then had two tried to gain one yard. They threw the ball on 3rd and 4th down and were unable to get the 1st down, giving Florida State the win.

Clemson is now 2-2 on the season and 0-2 in ACC play. They are back n action Saturday, as they travel to Syracuse for a noon kickoff.
