Clemson wrangles "Wahoos" with offensive explosion

Clemson won their 6th straight game with another impressive offensive display on Saturday. 10th ranked Clemson downed Virginia 48-31 and gained nearly 550 yards.

The game was tied at three after the 1st quarter. Virginia took a 10-3 lead with a TD that came on a short field after a Clemson turnover. Tiger RB Phil Mafah then scored on two TD runs in the final 7:40 of the 1st half. Clemson took a 17-10 lead into the half.

The Tigers then scored 21 unanswered in the 3rd to lead 38-10 going into the 4th. Virginia would score on three TD drives in the fourth, against the 2nd team defense. Clemson added a FG and a TD to make the final 48-31.

Tiger QB Cade Klubnik was 23 of 35 passing for 308 yards, 3 TD's and an interception. Clemson is now 6-1 overall and 5-0 in ACC play. The Tigers have a bye this week and will host Louisville November 2nd.
