DALLAS (105.3 the Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys will add a major weapon back into their offensive arsenal, with star running back Ezekiel Elliott set to return for the team's Sunday matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, the team revealed.
Elliott, who missed last week's game against the San Francisco 49ers with a calf issue, was a limited participant in practice throughout the week, and was questionable heading into the game.
Last week without Elliott in the lineup, back up Tony Pollard took over in the lead role, and had success, rushing 12 times for 69 yards and two scores, and catching three passes for an additional 63 yards on nine targets.
Elliott has largely struggled this year behind a patchwork offensive line, rushing for 832 yards and five touchdowns on just 3.9 yards per carry in 13 games.
In his last matchup against the Eagles this past November, Elliott managed just 63 yards on 19 rushes, and had no touchdowns.
The two teams are set to face off at 3:25pm on FOX, and you can listen live on 105.3 the Fan.
