DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott will miss his first career game due to an injury today when Dallas takes on the San Francisco 49ers, the team announced 90 minutes before kickoff.
Elliott was listed as questionable with a calf injury on the team's final practice report Friday. According to 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher, Elliott was unable to practice all week with a calf contusion.
Elliott, however, was expected to play today. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan Friday that he "absolutely" expected Zeke to suit up.
Tony Pollard will get the bulk of the work in place of Elliott. Rico Dowdle and Sewo Olonilua are active and will play behind Pollard.
The Cowboys full inactive are listed below.
