In his days as a Minnesota Viking, Cris Carter had his fill of LeRoy Butler. While they might have been rival competitors, the Pro Football Hall-of-Fame wideout has always had the utmost respect for #36.
"John Lynch is a good man, a good football player, but he wasn't LeRoy Butler," Carter said Thursday on the Wendy's Big Show. "LeRoy was a thoroughbred. A Hall of Famer knows another Hall of Famer. I hope he gets in in February. He deserves it."
And yes...LeRoy was there to hear it all.
