
For sometime, TV deals have carried the banner of big business for major college sports. ACC Football and Basketball will air with additional coverage going forward, as a new network is getting in on the action.
The CW Network has announced a deal with the conference to air 50 football and basketball games, starting this fall. The ACC is locked into a TV deal with ESPN until 2036. A rights agreement that many feel will have the league falling way behind the deals other Power 5 Conferences have.
Raycom Sports has sublicensed rights to ACC events from ESPN. The games that will be carried on the CW are mostly those that were not expected to be not be carried on the ESPN family of networks.
While Raycom, sold their broadcast rights to the CW, Raycom will still produce the broadcasts on the new network. It's the first venture into college sports for CW, the network has served as the broadcast home for the LIV Golf Tour.
