A national championship winning football coach is trying his hand in the restaurant game. Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney is the latest franchisee of Walk On's Sports Bistreaux. The Coach introduced the new spot in Tiger Town on Wednesday.
Walk-On's is a Louisiana based chain that will feature Cajun style food. The name Walk-On's stems from its founding partners, Brandon Landry and Jack Warner who were both walk-on's for the LSU Basketball program.
The Clemson location will be on College Avenue in the space formerly occupied by the Astro Theatre. Swinney has a background in real estate but this will his first foray into the restaurant business. Walk On's in Clemson is set to open late this fall.
