For the 2nd time in as many years, a high profile high school football program in the Upstate will have to hire a new head coach. Dorman Head Football Coach Dorman Curtis has announced his resignation from the position after just one season at the helm.
The Midlands native is expected to return to his home area, citing personal and family medical reasons. Curtis was hired after legendary Dorman Coach Dave Gutshall retired following the 2021 season. Curtis led Dorman to a 9-3 record and a win the playoffs this past season. Prior to his time in the Upstate, he led AC Flora in Columbia to a State Championship.
