
The Greenville Drive opened their season with a three game homestand at Fluor Field over the weekend. For The 1st Time since 2019 the Drive welcomed fans without pandemic related restrictions.

Greenville dropped two of their three games in the season opening series, to the Hudson Valley Renegades the Single A affiliate of the New York Yankees. The Drive got a 7-6 win on opening day last Friday. Hudson Valley took game two 8-6 and the series finale on Sunday 9-4. Drive Shortstop Matthew Lugo had 8 hits in the three game series.
The Drive are now on a six game road trip in Western North Carolina, taking on the Asheville Tourists. Asheville is the single A affiliate of the Houston Astros. The Drive will return to Greenville on the 19th, for a six game homestand with the Winston-Salem Dash of the Chicago White Sox organization.
