The Philadelphia Eagles are your Super Bowl Champions after dismantling Kansas City in New Orleans, Sunday night. The Eagles dashed the hopes of a possible Kansas City three-peat on their way to a 40-22 win.
Philadelphia struck 1st on a Jalen Hurts TD run. The Eagles led 7-0 after the 1st quarter. Philly would get a Field Goal, a pick-6 by DB Cooper Dejean and a TD pass from Hurts to AJ Brown to lead 24-0 at the half.
The Eagles scored another 10 straight points to start the 2nd half to lead 34-0. KC finally got on the board with a Patrick Mahomes TD pass late in the 3rd quarter. The Eagles led 34-6 after the third.
The Eagles added two field goals to lead 40-6. Kansas City scored two touchdowns in the closing minutes. Upstate native and Chiefs WR Deandre "Nuk" Hopkins had a TD catch. The Chiefs scored one more time to make it an 18 point Eagles win, after the game was much more lopsided than the final score.
For Philadelphia it's their 2nd Super Bowl Championship in franchise history with both coming in the last 8 seasons.
