
An offensive explosion in the 1st half led Clemson to a decisive 59-35 win over NC State on Saturday. The Tigers had touchdowns on their 1st four drives and led 28-0 after the opening quarter.
Midlands Native and Clemson WR Antonio Williams had two 1st quarter TD passes. QB Cade Klubnik had a rushing TD to go with those early TD passes. Klubnik would finish 16 of 24 for 210 yards and 3 scoring strikes. He also ran for 70 yards and a TD on 4 carries.
Clemson added 17 2nd quarter points and had a commanding 45-7 lead at the half. The Tigers coasted in the 2nd half and would go on to win 59-35 over the Wolfpack to open ACC play.
Clemson is now 2-1 and 1-0 in ACC play. They'll be back in action this Saturday hosting Stanford. It'll be just the 2nd meeting all-time between the two programs. Clemson won the 1st meeting back in the 1986 Gator Bowl.
