
A man who had a standout college football career and spent 7 seasons in the NFL, spoke to high school student athletes in the Upstate, Tuesday afternoon.
North Carolina native and former all Sun Belt Safety at Appalachian State Doug Middleton spoke to a crowd gathered at the Cannon Center in Greer. Much of the group were seniors who will start their college careers this fall. Middleton spoke about the challenges of transitioning to the next level and the process of success in college football.
Middleton played for the New York Jets from 2016 through 2018 and spent time with 5 other NFL teams. He's currently a free agent.
