Founder of Triumph and Liberty stepping down as Chairman

The founder of the Greenville Triumph and Greenville Liberty is stepping down as Chairman. Joe Erwin announced to players and staff for both clubs Tuesday that he is stepping down.

Erwin helped bring Greenville its 1st pro soccer team in 2018. Since then the Triumph has made the USL League One Finals three times. Their crowning achievement came win the Triumph won the league championship in 2020.

In 2022, Erwin launched the Greenville Liberty Women's Soccer Team. He will remain an owner and board member of the Triumph. Both clubs are expected to announce details on leadership changes in the near future.
