
Furman Basketball got its biggest win of the season Wednesday night, giving its coach a milestone victory. The Paladins got a 78-68 home win over Samford, who was previously unbeaten in SoCon play.
It marks the 3rd straight SoCon win for Furman and the 150th career victory for Coach Bob Richey in less than 7 full seasons.
The return of Marcus Foster to the lineup has sparked the three game win streak. He had game highs in points and rebounds with 22 and 11, Wednesday night. Three other Paladin players were in double figures.
Furman is now 11-9 overall, but they are 5-2 and tied for 3rd in the SoCon standings.
The Paladins are back in action this weekend, as they make the short trip to Spartanburg to take on Wofford. That game is set for a 6PM tipoff Saturday night. Hear all the action on The Fan Upstate.
