Furman falls short, drops third game in first four to open 2024

Furman Football has now dropped their 3rd game in the season's first four after a weekend road loss at William and Mary. The Paladins started strong on the road and lead 14-7 after the 1st quarter.

The Tribe then scored 13 unanswered in the 2nd quarter to take a 20-14 at the half. The two teams traded touchdowns in the 3rd and Furman trailed 27-21 going into the 4th.

The Paladins managed just a Field Goal in the 4th. William and Mary would score a 4th quarter TD to make the final 34-24. The Paladins were just 2 of 11 on 3rd downs and were outgained on the ground 390-93.

Furman is now 1-3 on the season. They'll open SoCon play hosting Samford this Saturday for a 2PM kickoff. You can hear all the action on The Fan Upstate.
