Furman Football was dominant in their win over VMI Saturday and wrapped up the conference title in the process. Coming into this season, Furman had not won the SoCon outright in over three decades. That all changed when the Paladins dismantled VMI 37-3 in Greenville over the weekend.

The Paladin defense held VMI to just 13 1st downs and less than 200 total yards. Paladin Freshman QB Carson Jones started in place of the injured Tyler Huff. Jones was 18 of 23 passing for 226 yards and 4 TD's. Furman dominated from the start and led 34-0 at the half.

Furman has won their 1st outright SoCon Title since 1990 and earns an automatic bid to the FCS playoffs. Furman will host in the postseason, their opponent is to be announced.

The Paladins close the regular season this Saturday at Wofford for a Noon kickoff. Catch all the action of Furman Football this Saturday and in the postseason in late November.
