A Gamecock football player and his brother are facing felony charges after being arrested over the weekend. Gamecock Running Back Sam Williams-Dixon was arrested on multiple counts of larceny and conspiracy, Saturday.
The University of South Carolina Police Department says Dixon and his brother Elijah broke into multiple vehicles from June 7th through June 12th. Investigators claim the two stole jewelry, shoes and other items worth a combined value of nearly $10,000.
Williams-Dixon is a Redshirt Sophomore who transferred to South Carolina in January after spending two seasons at Ohio State. A University Spokesman says his brother Elijah Williams-Dixon has no affiliation with the university.
The two are expected to appear in a Columbia courtroom in August.
