South Carolina hosts Vandy on Wednesday night for a 7 PM tip at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. The Gamecocks broke a three game losing skid with their 83-66 home win against Georgia, last Saturday. They'll look for a season sweep of the Commodores after a 72-70 win in Nashville on January 8th. It's a pivotal SEC matchup as the Gamecocks are 2-4 in league play. Also, pivotal given that after they host Vandy, the Gamecocks are Texas A&M and Mississippi State, then play host to a ranked Tennessee squad. So the Wednesday game vs Vandy is one, that South Carolina needs to get.

To win Wednesday night, the Gamecocks will have to limit Scotty Pippen Jr. He leads Vandy in scoring at 18 per game, he also leads the entire SEC in made free throws and free throw attempts. Pippen Jr. is the son of NBA legend Scotty Pippen. Containing the younger Pippen off the dribble, will be paramount for SC on Wednesday night.

South Carolina is looking to maintain home success in the series. The Gamecocks have won 4 straight over Vandy in Columbia, a streak that dates back to 2014. They'll look to make it five come Wednesday night at 7 PM. The game will be nationally televised on SEC Network.
