The Celtics got some good news Friday: Kemba Walker is taking a step toward to making his 2020-2021 season debut.
The team announced that Walker -- who hasn't participated in basketball activities with the Celtics this season due to his injured left knee -- has been cleared to practice.
Walker underwent a stem cell injection during the offseason, necessitating a 10-week strengthening program.
The 30-year-old is coming off a season when he averaged 20.4 points per game in 56 appearances. Despite being hampered by the injured knee, Walker added 19.6 points per game in the postseason.
