
South Carolina struggled offensively and couldn't slow down Tennessee's run game, as the Gamecocks fell 41-20 on Rocky Top, Saturday night.
The Gamecocks managed just 11 1st downs and were 2 of 15 on 3rd down tries. Tennessee had 24 1st downs and converted nearly 50% on 3rd down attempts. The Vols racked up nearly 500 yards of offense and outgained the Gamecocks 238-132 on the ground.
The Vol defense held Spencer Rattler to 24 of 35 passing, a 169 yards and an interception. Rattler was also sacked 6 times on the night. A 10-0 2nd quarter scoring run gave Tennessee a 24-10 halftime lead, they would go on to win 41-20.
South Carolina is now 2-3 overall and 1-2 in SEC play. They have a bye this week and will host Florida October 14th.
