It was a bit of odd geography as Upstate Basketball teams competed against each other in Florence for a spot in the State Title game, but now the field for the Finals this weekend is set.
The GSP Area is well represented in the State Finals. Several teams from the area had to go to Florence to play each other in the Upper State Finals. The State Title Games will also be in Florence this Friday and Saturday.
The Byrnes Rebels will square off with Lexington Friday at 8PM in the 5A Boys State Title. That will come after the Landrum Girls tangle with Andrew Jackson for the 2A Title, Friday afternoon.
On Saturday 5 Upstate teams will play for State Titles in their respective classes. Starting at Noon, Christ Church will take on Bethune-Bowman for the 1A Boys Crown. At 2PM Saturday, The Wren Girls will clash Camden in the 3A Finals.
Powdersville Boys who edged Wren in Florence for the Upper State Title, will meet Darlington in 3A Finals at 4Pm, Saturday. In 4A, both the Riverside Boys and Girls will play for the State Title.
Riverside's Girls take on AC Flora Saturday at 6PM. Riverside's Boys led by D-1 Commit Julen iturbe will meet 2021 State Champs Ridgeview in 4A Finals in the nightcap.
