The young man who earned the top honor given in South Carolina High School Football, is giving back to a worthy cause. Dutch Fork Running Back Jarvis Green made a thousand dollar donation to the Shrines Children's Hospital in Greenville.
The check was the grant that Green received from winning the State Gatorade Player Of The Year Award. He won the award after having a huge senior season and leading Dutch Fork to the 5A State Title. Green has committed to playing at Clemson starting this fall.
His parents were on hand for the check presentation. The donation will help the work of the hospital, which does not turn patients away for their family's inability to pay for the cost of care.
