Jim Donovan: The NFL’s fumble/touchback rule is archaic; Baker Mayfield has arrived and will only get better with Kevin Stefanski

The foundation is there for the Browns to be back in the playoffs next season

The Voice of the Cleveland Browns Jim Donovan joined Ken Carman and Anthony Lima to recap the 22-17 playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jim gave his thoughts on hearing his own calls being played after the fact, what his reaction was internally to the Rashard Higgins play and what needs to happen when there is a fumble out of the endzone situation.

Jim also talked about the play of Baker Mayfield and how he has grown with Kevin Stefanski as a stable coach, how Stefanski looked in his first playoff game on the sideline for the Browns and what was most surprising about the decisions made in the game.

Jim finished with comments on Denzel Ward and if he can be depended on for the long term to be on the field consistently, what the effects of not being on the field as much this season had on the Browns and if the Browns will be back in the playoffs next year.
