Late game heroics Sunday helped the Carolina Panthers get on the right side of the win column. The Panthers got their 1st win of the season on a field goal by Eddy Pineiro as time expired to give them a 15-13 victory over the Houston Texans in Charlotte, Sunday.

The Panthers trailed early after Houston scored on their opening drive. Carolina answered with a TD pass from #1 pick Bryce Young but they failed to get the extra point and trailed -6 at the half. The Panthers would get two field goals in the 3rd and led 12-7.

Houston got a TD run by the Quarterback taken right after Young, CJ Stroud, that gave the Texans a 13-12 lead. The Panthers then put together a final drive of 15 plays and 86 yards that chewed up the final 6 plus minutes. The drive was capped by the game-winning 23 yard field goal.

The Panthers will look to make it two in a row when they host the Colts on Sunday for a 4 PM kickoff. The Carolina Panthers play all season long on Classic Rock 101.1
