It seems that one user on Instagram recently got under the skin of Linda Holliday, Bill Belichick's longtime girlfriend, with a comment about Belichick's divorce from Tom Brady.

The user was responding to a New Year's post Holliday put up reflecting on 2020 and posted, "Too bad Bill let Tom go!"

That prompted the following response from Holliday: "And you have all the answers evidently? Tom didn’t score last night … not once! Defense won that game. Were you even watching? [On the other hand] – I’m happy for Tom’s career! Why can’t you be?"

The "last night" refers to Brady and the Buccaneers' 30-20 win over the Saints in the divisional round on Sunday, although her assertion that Brady didn't score is not accurate. Brady threw for two touchdowns and ran for another.

In response to another user commenting that she shouldn't take digs at Brady on social media, Holliday tried to clarify what she meant, posting: "I simply meant he scored with the help of his defense. Why all the fuss people?!? Stop the nonsense! Can we all just stop and be happy for Tom for a minute instead of beating me up?!?"

Brady and the Buccaneers travel to Green Bay to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in the NFC championship game on Sunday.
