The Pro Bull Riders Tour Challenger Series rides into Western North Carolina, this weekend. The tour will put on a two night event this Friday June 21st and Saturday June 22nd at the Tryon International Equestrian Center and Resort in Mill Spring, NC.
Randy Whitener is a native of Western North Carolina and is looking to make his mark on the PBR Tour. Whitener is from Rutherford County, NC and lives in the shadows of the very venue that he will perform in this weekend.
I caught up with Randy and we spoke about the upcoming event. He talked about the added pressure of performing in front of the home crowd, what motivates him to compete and the mentality it takes to succeed in the sport. The entire interview can be heard below.
