
A late rally propelled Furman to a crucial conference road win over a ranked opponent, Saturday. The Paladins scored twice in the 4th quarter, including a TD pass from backup QB Carson Jones with 1:44 left to edge Chattanooga, 17-14.
Furman's starting QB Tyler Huff suffered an injury in the 1st half and did not return to the game. The Paladins trailed 7-3, mustering just a field goal through three quarters. Their defense kept them in the game, until the offense could start clicking late.
The Paladins punched their playoff ticket with the win and move to 8-1 on the season and 6-0 in the SoCon. Furman has won at least a share of the conference title and earned the league's automatic playoff bid.
They host VMI this Saturday and will finish the regular season by traveling to Wofford, November 18th. Furman Football plays all season long on The Fan Upstate."
