After an abysmal performance thus far this season, the Carolina Panthers have parted ways with their Head Coach. Panthers Owner David Tepper released a statement Monday confirming that first year Coach Frank Reich has been fired.
Carolina lost 10 of their first 11 games under Reich. The Panthers have struggled on offense all season and especially of late, scoring 15 or less in five straight games. Rookie QB Bryce Young, the #1 overall pick ranks last among starters in the NFL in total QB Rating.
Reich was 40-33 in four and a half season with Indianapolis before being fired there and hired by the Panthers after last season. Special Teams Coach Chris Tabor will take over as Interim Head Coach.
He'll make his debut at the helm for the Panthers this Sunday, when they travel to take on division rival, Tampa Bay. The Panthers play all season long on Classic Rock 101.1 FM.
