It was a triumphant moment for many as plans were announced, Wednesday for a brand new stadium to be built in Greenville County. The Greenville Triumph says they plan to build a multi-use 10,000 seat stadium at Bridgeway Station in Mauldin.
The ground breaking for the new 80+ million dollar stadium is expected in early, 2025. The site will play host to Greenville Triumph and Greenville Liberty Soccer Clubs. It also will hold youth tournaments, concerts, festival, and community events.
The stadium is expected to open for usage in 2026. The City Of Mauldin and State Of South Carolina are partnering with the Triumph on the development.
The plan had stalled after the Greenville County Council's Finance Committee originally voted against helping fund the stadium.
