25-25. Not exactly the record that was projected for the 2025 Atlanta Braves after 50 games. But it could be much worse. Statistical data will show you that most teams that start a season 0-7 rarely even make it back to .500 in a given season, so for the Braves to have done so by the 50 game mark is actually a pretty positive sign. Enter Ronald Acuña Jr., who is returning from IL Friday Night after rehabbing his 2nd serious knee injury.
Even if Acuña Jr. is his 2022 self, which was below his career averages for offense, he would still be out-performing most of the 2025 Braves lineup.
Now, most of the 2025 Braves lineup is under-performing, and Ronald Acuña Jr.
just may be the spark that they need to get going. Couple that with the return of spencer Strider, and it is time for the Braves to get on a roll, and take control of their division, the National League East.
