20 years ago today, the Ravens and Titans met in a collision of two great AFC powers. Tennessee, hoping to make a run to their second-straight Super Bowl, were crowned as the AFC's best team in 2000. Led by QB Steve McNair and RB Eddie George, the Titans were full of swagger but they knew their Divisional round matchup against the Ravens would be no walk in the park. Back then, the two teams battled twice a year in the AFC Central. After splitting the regular season series in punishing fashion, both sides were ready for a knock-down-drag-out fight for a trip to the AFC Championship game.
For Ravens fans, the rest is history. The image at the top of your screen is a seminal moment in Baltimore sports history. Ray Lewis stealing the ball from Eddie, running to endzone for a game-sealing touchdown, and putting the Ravens one step closer to their first Super Bowl Championship.
Two decades later, the Big Bad Morning Show was joined by a player who was in the thick of it on that January day: Ravens great Michael McCrary. Listen in as Mike pulls the curtain back on one of the biggest games in team history, revealing how he was almost TOO hyped for gameday and how the defense had to respond to a Titans offense that had them on their heels.
