Furman ran for over 200 yards and held Mercer to under 25 total yards of offense, as the Paladins won going away in their conference opener on Saturday.
After a scoreless 1st quarter, Furman scored 17 in the 2nd and lead 1-7 at the half, on their way to a 38-14 victory in their SoCon season debut. The Paladins did not turn the ball over on the day.
Four different Furman backs ran for TD's. QB Tyler Huff had 250 total yards, he was 20 of 24 passing and threw for a score. Furman is 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in the SoCon.
