The SEC Women's Basketball Tournament has come to the Upstate and is bringing exposure and revenue with it. About ten thousand people are expected to be in the area for the tournament, which is being held now through Sunday at the Well in Greenville.

The event is expected to generate around 4 to 5 million dollars in revenue for the local economy, as those visiting here will be spending money at restaurants, hotels and stores around the area.
The event will also serve as a major positive exposure for the city, as people from around the nation will be watching the tournament. ESPN's College Gameday will broadcast live from the Well prior to Sunday's Title game.
This marks the 1st of two major basketball events in Greenville this month, as Greeneville will serve as a host site for the NCAA Women's Tournament March 24th-27th.
