
The slipper still fits and the Cinderella run for the NC State Wolfpack continues after they knocked off Duke 76-64 Sunday in the Elite 8. Duke led 27-21 at the half.
NC State then outscored Duke 14-8 in the 1st 7 minutes of the 2nd half to tie the game at 35. The Wolfpack then finished the game on a 41-29 scoring run in the final 13 minutes. NC State held Duke to just 32% shooting from the floor and 25% from deep.
The Wolfpack had just 5 turnovers on the game. DJ Burns led NC State with a team high 29 points, DJ Horne added 20. Jared McCain had a game high 32 to lead Duke, Jeremy Roach added 13.
The win gives NC State their 1st Final Four appearance since Coach Jim Valvano led the program to the National Title in 1983. The Wolfpack will take on Purdue Saturday evening at 6PM in the 1st game of the night.
