High expectations surround Furman's Men's Basketball team, as the season is set to tipoff, early next month. The Paladins are coming off a historical season last year that saw them win the SoCon and get a win in the NCAA Tournament for the 1st time in decades.
Furman was tabbed as the preseason favorite to win the league again at SoCon Media Day in Asheville, Wednesday. Junior Guard J.P. Pegues and Senior Forward Marcus Foster were named to the Preseason All Conference Team after they both averaged in double figures last season.
The Paladins will open the season with back to back home games at Timmons Arena. They host local foe North Greenville on November 6th and the Belmont Bruins are set to come to town , Friday November 10th. Paladin Basketball plays all season long on The Fan Upstate.
