An Upstate city will now serve as the new home of the Carolina Boxing Hall Of Fame. A ceremony is set for Thursday to name the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium as the new home to the hall.
The Sparkle City has a storied history hosting boxing events and is the home of the Golden Gloves State Tournament. The announcement will coincide with the state's top amateur tournament, as the Golden Gloves event will get underway tomorrow and run through the finals on Sunday.
Members of the Carolina Boxing Hall Of Fame's Board Directors are set to be on hand for the announcement tomorrow afternoon at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium.
