The South Carolina Gamecocks dropped their 4th straight game over the weekend after Texas A&M scored 21 unanswered in the 2nd quarter.

South Carolina led 7-0 after a Dak Joyner TD run capped a 13 play, 65 yard scoring drive that took nearly 7 minutes off the clock.

A&M then scored three TD's, two of them in the final two minutes of the 1st half, to lead 21-7 at the break.

The two teams traded field goals in the 3rd and A&M led 24-10 going into the 4th. The Gamecocks scored early in the 4th to cut the lead to 24-17. A&M then got two field goals down the stretch to make the final score, 30-17.

The Gamecocks struggled mightily in the run game gaining just 33 yards on the ground.

South Carolina is now 2-6 in the year and 1-5 in SEC play. They host Jacksonville State in a non-conference contest Saturday at noon.
