Tom Brady has won. It's that simple. Anyone who watched the 43 year old quarterback in Tampa Bay's 31-23 win over the Washington Football Team can see that. Brady still has "IT." Does Bill Belichick?
Or did Bill ever have it? Oh, sure he is the greatest coach ever, but when it comes his roster building deficiencies, how much did Brady mask? As we are learning, a lot.
Against Washington, Brady looked superb. His was sharp, moved in well in the pocket and was accurate as hell. The Bucs as a team were ... eh. But Brady was on point. He was never going to lose this game despite the impressive effort from former Patriot practice squader Taylor Heinicke. This proves that Brady can still play at a high level if given a running back and guys who can catch the ball. Yep, Bill got him Gronk and Bill was the reason Gronk left. There is only one reason why Gronk and Brady are not in Foxboro anymore, they got sick of Bill.
Now, you Belichick purists can say it worked for six Super Bowls and you would be right. But why did it have to end? It didn't. Bill never adjusted to Brady.
Yeah, Belichick showed that crybaby who's boss! Yep, he did and now the boss is screwed. I mean the Patriots are up a creek without a paddle, a boat, a life jacket, a wet suit and even a swimsuit. Bill and his bunch are buck naked in the middle of raging rapids while Brady, along with Gronk, are sipping umbrella drinks on the deck of the Buccaneer ship sailing into the second round of the playoffs.
Brady was fed up with being disrespected by Bill and working with ham and eggers so when Bill said here is $15 million to throw to N'keal Harry Brady head south and who could blame him?
Belichick cannot draft pass catchers. Period! Chris Godwin could've been a Patriot as he was selected in third round of the 2017 draft 84th overall, one spot behind Derek Rivers who was a bust in New England. Just look at that 2017 roster and Brady receivers like Brandon Cooks, Chris Hogan and Kenny Britt (Kenny Britt!)..on the roster. Edelman missed the 2017 season. Jules had a great career with New England, but he was a product of Brady. I find it hard to believe he would have had close to the career anywhere else. Same deal with Welker.
Even if Brady and the Bucs lose to Drew Brees and the Saints, Tom still won. The debate is over. It was Tom all along. It's obvious when treated with respect and given the proper tools the dude can still and wants to compete at a high level.
Be honest. Bill blew it.
