There has been a lot of negativity surrounding the play of Tua Tagovailoa over the past couple of days by different media members who are trying to determine early on if he is “elite” or not.  Wednesday morning Dolphins tight end Durham Smythe stopped by The Joe Rose Show and it was refreshing to get a perspective from someone who is actually in the huddle with Tua.  Smythe talked about how he can see the growth from Tua and how he is progressing.

Smyth said about Tua, “Tua’s great, you know I think he’s grown a lot over the last seven or eight weeks in terms of just being more comfortable around everyone, being comfortable in the huddle...I hate the term slowing down but maybe he’s just more comfortable in more situations.  I think a lot of that has to do with Fitz being there every day for him, having a guy like that he can learn from and bounce questions off of, I think that’s been huge for him and like I said he’s out there, the guys are joking around with him and Tua has been great the last eight or nine weeks.”

Tua and his trusty tight end Durham Smythe will take the field on Saturday night in Vegas when the Dolphins take on the Raiders.
