The three most prominent D-1 college baseball programs in South Carolina will all host NCAA Regionals this weekend. Rob Jones has the report. The Upstate, Midlands and the Low Country will all be well represented, as Clemson, South Carolina and Coastal have all been selected as host sites.

Clemson is the top seed in their region and is #4 overall, meaning they would host a Super Regional if they can win the Regional Title. The Tigers take on Lipscomb in their opener, Tennessee is #2 seed and UNC-Charlotte is #3. South Carolina is the #15 seed nationally, the winner of their region faces the winner of the Gainesville, FL Region.

The Gamecocks will open with Central Connecticut. Campbell is the 2 seed and they will take on 3 seed NC State. Coastal is the #10 seed nationally and the winner in Conway takes on the winner of the Charlottesville Regional.

The three in-state programs have combined for five College World Series Appearances and three National Titles since 2010. Regional play will begin on Friday.
