
Three college softball programs from the Palmetto State won conference titles and have punched their ticket to the National Tournament.
Clemson knocked off top-10 opponent Florida State 2-1 on Saturday to win their 1st ever ACC Tournament Title. Kylee Johnson proved the late game heroics with a 2-run homer to give Clemson the lead. It's Clemson has now won the ACC in just their 5th full season, as a program. They've now made the NCAA Tournament in each of their 5 seasons in existence.
USC-Upstate won 7-4 over in-state and conference rival Winthrop to win the Big South Title. Upstate scored 6 in their 1st at-bat to lead 6-0 going into the 3rd. They led 7-1 going into the 6th, Withrop would get three runs in the final two innings. However, Upstate would hold off their rally any further.
USC-Upstate has now won the back-to-back Big South Conference Titles. This year will mark their 7th NCAA Tournament appearance since 2013.
Coastal Carolina clipped James Madison 3-2 to win the Sun Belt Conference Championship. It's the first conference title since Coastal joined the Sun Belt in 2016. This year will mark their 1st NCAA Tournament trip since 2012, when they won the Big South Conference Title.
The matchups for the NCAA Softball Regionals have not been released, as of the time of this article. However, Regionals are slated to run from Friday May 16th- Sunday May 18th.
