Upstate native, former Clemson golfer wins 2nd straight event

An Upstate native won his second straight PGA event over the weekend. Greenville's own and former Clemson Golfer Lucas Glover defeated Patrick Cantlay in a playoff Sunday to win the FedEx St. Jude tournament.

The victory marks the 2nd straight tournament win for Glover. Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood tied for 3rd.

Glover now sits at #4 in the chase for the FedEx Cup. He had already secured his spot in the Tour Championship, prior to Sunday's win.

Golf analysts say, the 43 year old Glover is being strongly considered for the U.S. Ryder Cup, later this year.
